WHO YOU WILL WORK WITHYou’ll be part of the Activity Experiences Digital Product Design team, responsible for Nike’s Run Club (NRC) and Training Club (NTC) apps—shaping digital experiences that help athletes* start, stay motivated, and achieve their goals—as well as the technology experiences powering our world-class Nike Sport Research Lab. With a sharp focus on athlete* needs, this team powers stronger, healthier and happier bodies and minds. You’ll partner closely with product, engineering, data science, marketing, sport experts, trainers, coaches, and cross-functional business partners to craft a new digital fitness offering, pioneering Nike’s next big competitive advantage. You’re the glue between the design team and cross-functional counterparts. You lead projects, solving design challenges while inspiring others through your work and collaboration. You’re also growing your leadership skills by being a mentor to other designers. 8+ years of relevant experience with end-to-end digital product design with proven experience in visual, UX/UI, and prototypingProven experience delivering consumer-facing product experiences that improve onboarding, habit formation, personalization, motivation, community, content discovery, and/or activity tracking.Strong understanding of product thinking, interaction design, data science, experimentation and execution (expert in one or more areas)Hands-on creative and systems thinker with strong UX/UI/IA design expertise and design approachDemonstrated user-centric design approach and insights-based design processStrong collaborator with product managers, engineers, writers, researchers and marketersExperience working with consumer research and dataImpeccable attention to detailExceptional time management skills — providing accurate estimations and often helping the team deliver earlyAbility to influence or create design patterns or standards that are adopted by other teamsHighly proficient with design and prototyping tools such as Cursor and FigmaCross-platform design experiences (web, Android, iOS, email)Ability to communicate a vision for the work in a way others can relate to and buy intoAbility to establish a holistic look and feel between all pieces of a large projectExperience launching software at scale in a fast-paced product organizationPassion for the Nike brand, sport and for creating high-quality workA fascination with innovation and technology and a solid understanding of digital tools and trendsExperience with digital fitness, wellness, coaching, activity tracking, wearable integrations, training plans, guided content, challenges, achievements, or community-based motivation features.Familiarity with Nike Run Club, Nike Training Club, or comparable consumer fitness products that combine coaching, content, community, personalization, and progress tracking to support athlete goals.WHAT YOU’LL WORK ONDeveloping a deep understanding of Athlete* motivations and needs, deeply immersed in sport and the digital fitness landscape, and translating it into differentiated experience concepts Rapidly visualizing, prototyping and exploring multiple product design directions in response to hypotheses–with sharp consideration of the business and technical impacts of the solutions Designing incredibly polished work that represents the Nike brand and product experience through wireframes, flows, visual comps, and prototypesOwning an entire product space or working on large projects that encompass multiple broad/undefined featuresThinking big, innovating and driving execution on cross-team products or a domainRapidly iterating and refining design concepts—from initial briefing through final deliveryFacilitating and leading brainstorms and workshopsWorking closely and collaboratively with a cross-functional team of producers, product managers, project managers, engineers, researchers and fellow designersInspiring new ways of thinking and exploring the unknown using fresh and unique approaches to design problemsMentoring and providing helpful feedback to fellow designers and interns to uplevel their craft and skillsEvangelizing the Nike brand and driving initiatives that strengthen Nike's design culture internallyWe offer a number of accommodations to complete our interview process including screen readers, sign language interpreters, accessible and single location for in-person interviews, closed captioning, and other reasonable modifications as needed.
